The Banquet Hall of Gymkhana Club Lahore hosted the 12th meeting of the Pakistan Philosophical Association, drawing scholars, academics and students from institutions across the city and beyond. Attendees gathered to exchange ideas and engage in sustained philosophical dialogue on topics of contemporary relevance.
Prof Atiya Syed served as the chief guest and delivered the keynote address, underlining the practical value of philosophical inquiry in modern society. She stressed the need for critical thinking and ethical reflection as tools to navigate complex social and technological challenges, and called for philosophy to play an active role in shaping public discourse.
Following the keynote, participants contributed a range of perspectives in open discussion and a question-and-answer session that encouraged direct interaction with the guest speaker. The meeting reaffirmed the Pakistan Philosophical Association’s commitment to promoting philosophical research, strengthening academic collaboration and sustaining meaningful dialogue within Pakistan’s scholarly community.
