Islamabad: More than 250 academic leaders from across the Islamic World are gathering in Islamabad for the 5th Vice-Chancellors’ Forum (VC Forum), to be held on March 19th and 20th, 2023. The event is a joint effort of several organizations including the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) , British Council Pakistan, and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, with the aim of discussing disruptive technology in a globalized world. The forum provides an opportunity for participants to share experiences, network, collaborate, and engage in dialogue about the future of higher education in the Islamic World.
This year’s forum will be attended by over 250 Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and Presidents of universities and higher educational institutions from 20 OIC countries. Keynote speakers will include Dr. Salim M. AL Malik, Director General of ICESCO, and Ambassador Mustafa Turker Ari, Advisor to the President Council of Higher Education in Turkey. The forum will include panel discussions and invited talks centered on themes such as transforming traditional faculties, improving online education, tools for innovation, and technology commercialization.
