The Federal Investigation Agency’s Lahore director convened a crime meeting of the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle at the FIA Zonal Office in Lahore to review performance, receive a detailed briefing, and issue directives to accelerate investigations and strengthen enforcement against human smuggling, forced labor, and trafficking networks.
The meeting was chaired by the Director of FIA Lahore. The Circle In-Charge of the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle presented a comprehensive briefing on the circle’s recent activities and casework, outlining ongoing investigations and operational achievements.
The director expressed overall satisfaction with the circle’s performance but ordered further improvement. He directed that all pending inquiries and investigative cases be completed promptly and decided strictly on their merits. He warned that no delays or leniency would be tolerated in high-profile cases.
Participants were instructed to carry out intelligence-led operations targeting organized groups involved in human smuggling and maritime incidents. The director emphasized that all available resources must be deployed to ensure the arrest of suspects and to dismantle these networks.
A robust crackdown was ordered against those involved in forced labor and the trafficking of people for begging abroad. The director also called for new measures to enhance the agency’s institutional reputation and operational effectiveness.
The meeting stressed the importance of professional development for FIA officers, with particular focus on strengthening the skills of recently recruited personnel through targeted training programs.
