Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan organized a Difa-e-Pakistan rally in Rawalpindi in collaboration with students and staff of Ayesha Lathani School to honor the country’s defence institutions and commemorate the sacrifices of the armed forces. The event brought together school teachers and students, Pasban-e-Watan central office-bearers, and civil society members for a program of speeches, tableaux and patriotic songs highlighting the 1965 war and the role of youth in national development.
The rally was held at Ayesha Lathani School, an educational institution founded by the late Hakeem Said, where a large number of teachers and students joined Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan’s central leaders. The school’s principal, Noor Qureshi, formally welcomed the Pasban-e-Watan delegation and thanked them for involving the school in the Difa-e-Pakistan activities.
In her remarks, Principal Qureshi recounted scenes from the 1965 war to the assembled audience, linking historical sacrifice to the importance of remembering and learning from the past. Following her address, students presented a series of tableaux, delivered speeches, and performed national songs as a tribute to Pakistan’s defence forces and their martyrs.
Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan’s leadership that attended the rally included Secretary Information Rukhsanda Tasneem, President of the Public Aid Committee Tahir Mahmood, Vice President Rana Ishtiaq, Climate Committee President Yaseen Bhatti, Climate Committee Vice President Munir Akram, central leader Hassan Muhammad, Youth President Bakhti Shah, General Secretary Nabi Shah, and Chairman Pakistan Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed. Speakers praised the courage and sacrifices of the armed forces and underlined the vital role students must play in the country’s reconstruction and in safeguarding national ideology.
