Senator Abdul Shakoor Khan Achakzai represented Pakistan at a standing committee meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Manama, Bahrain, where he chaired discussions on economic cooperation and sustainable development and urged stronger support for developing countries in global economic processes.

As chairman of the Senate’s Functional Committee on Government Assurances, Senator Achakzai presided over the APA committee session, leading parliamentary delegations from across the region in detailed deliberations on economic collaboration and the Sustainable Development Goals. He highlighted the need for coordinated action to promote shared prosperity and long-term sustainability across Asian countries.

Senator Achakzai called for concrete measures to advance the region’s common economic growth and to secure a sustainable future, stressing that progress requires proactive policies and cooperation among governments and parliaments.
