Punjab Health and Population Secretary Nadia Saqib chaired a review meeting to assess the first-day performance of the province’s HPV vaccination campaign, examining district reports and urging stronger outreach. She called on health workers to intensify their efforts and appealed to parents to ensure their daughters receive the vaccine on schedule to prevent future life‑threatening illnesses.

The meeting focused on operational feedback from districts and an initial evaluation of campaign performance. Officials reviewed turnout, logistics, and reporting from the first day to identify areas needing immediate attention and to streamline vaccine delivery.

Nadia Saqib directed health staff to work with renewed dedication to meet campaign targets and improve service delivery at vaccination sites. She emphasized the importance of thorough follow-up and community engagement to reach eligible girls across urban and rural areas.

Officials reminded parents that timely HPV vaccination protects girls against human papillomavirus, which can lead to cervical cancer and other serious conditions. The secretary urged families to take advantage of the campaign and have their daughters vaccinated as scheduled.

She stressed that ensuring a safe and healthy future for children is a shared responsibility and said the Punjab government is providing the necessary resources to support the campaign’s success. Authorities indicated continued monitoring and support to address challenges and maximize vaccine coverage.
