Star Welfare deploys relief for Punjab floods children, delivering meals and free medical camps; support urgent efforts to aid affected children.

Star Welfare Organization has launched an ongoing mission to deliver food and essential relief items specifically for children in the wake of the Punjab floods. Field teams led by Asad bin Azam, director of the foundation, are working inside affected communities to reach the most vulnerable families.

In a video message from the field, Asad bin Azam described widespread destruction across Punjab where entire villages remain submerged, homes have been washed away and many families are forced to sleep under open skies due to shortage of tents. The director emphasized that the ongoing crisis from the Punjab floods has left children particularly exposed to hunger and thirst.

Many children in the affected areas have lost clothing and shoes, and the collapse of numerous schools has disrupted education while public health concerns are rising. The organisation says that disease outbreaks are already emerging and that women and children are among those most at risk.

Relief consignments for children include biscuits, cakes, namkeen snacks, bottled water and freshly cooked meals delivered to camps and makeshift shelters. In the first phase of operations, provisions were arranged for more than 1,000 children as teams continue to expand distribution across hard-hit locations.

To address the mounting health needs, Star Welfare is organising free medical camps where qualified doctors will provide diagnosis, treatment and free medicines for flood-affected children and women. The medical outreach aims to prevent secondary health crises following the floods.

Asad bin Azam urged citizens and philanthropists to join relief efforts, noting that the scale of the devastation means aid organisations cannot respond alone. He made a special appeal to overseas Pakistanis and donors to contribute so that Star Welfare can deliver more supplies and implement sustainable measures to help families stand on their feet after the Punjab floods.
