The Directorate of Student Affairs organized an orientation session for the Fall 2025 batch at Rawalpindi Women University to welcome new students and introduce them to campus life. The RWU orientation aimed to familiarize entrants with the university’s academic environment, facilities, policies and support services, setting the tone for their studies ahead.
Welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. Huma Rauf (Additional Registrar/Director Student Affairs), Prof. Dr. Saima Mustafa from the Faculty of Sciences and Prof. Dr. Sobia Masood from the Faculty of Social Sciences, who extended best wishes to the new cohort and assured them of continuous guidance and institutional support throughout their tenure.
Informative presentations outlined the roles and services of key departments including the Registrar Office, Examination Office, Directorate of Student Affairs, Quality Enhancement Cell, Library, Hostel administration and the Psychological Wellbeing Center. Students were briefed on how to access academic resources, exam procedures, hostel protocols and quality assurance mechanisms as part of the RWU orientation.
Participants were also sensitized to the university’s Anti-Drug and Tobacco Policy, Anti-Harassment Policy and discipline rules and regulations designed to maintain a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment. The session concluded with an oath administered by Ms. Khadija Saeed, Additional Director Student Affairs, in which students pledged to abide by university rules and uphold RWU values.
Organizers said the RWU orientation was intended to equip students with practical information and confidence as they begin their academic and personal development at Rawalpindi Women University.
