District Education Authority Rawalpindi, under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Tariq Mahmood, mobilised teachers, students, parents, local community members and staff to collect funds for families affected by recent floods. The Rawalpindi education drive drew widespread participation from schools and neighbourhoods, producing a substantial sum that was used to buy essential supplies.
Collected funds were used to procure rations, essential food items and household goods. In the first phase these supplies were dispatched to deserving families in flood-affected areas of Multan and Muzaffargarh, where communities continue to cope with displacement and losses.
In a second phase, additional rations along with bedding and clothing were distributed on 20 October 2025 in parts of Gujrat city that were severely hit by the floods. The Rawalpindi education authority coordinated logistics and worked with volunteers to ensure aid reached those most in need promptly.
Officers and teachers of the District Education Authority went beyond their professional responsibilities during this relief effort, setting a strong example of humanitarian service. The initiative not only provided immediate relief but also reinforced social solidarity, a sense of civic responsibility and a commitment to public service within the local education community.
