Day Care Centres launched at QABP to support female trainees and working mothers with safe childcare while they pursue skill development.

Two Day Care Centres were inaugurated at QABP in a ceremony led by Ms. Salma Saadia Taimoor and Chairman TEVTA Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar SI(M) Retd. The new Day Care Centres are designed to provide secure childcare for children of female trainees and staff.

Ms. Salma Saadia Taimoor, Focal Person to the Chief Minister on Garment City and Women Vocational Training Centres, joined Chairman TEVTA for the opening and underscored the importance of accessible childcare in supporting women’s vocational advancement. The establishment of these Day Care Centres reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen support systems for women engaged in skills training.

Both dignitaries conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities and reviewed the arrangements made for the children, ensuring standards of safety and a nurturing environment. The Day Care Centres will allow working mothers and trainees to focus on their programmes with greater peace of mind knowing their children are cared for on site.

Chairman TEVTA highlighted that the centres have been set up specifically to back female trainees and working mothers, enabling them to concentrate on skill development. The move is expected to enhance participation in local vocational training initiatives by removing a key barrier for women balancing family responsibilities and professional training.
