On October 2, 2025 the Pakistan Alternative Energy Association (PAEA), together with the Renewable Energy Association of Pakistan (REAP), met with the leadership of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry to discuss ways to accelerate sustainable growth and investment in Renewable Energy across Pakistan.
The meeting, attended by the ICCI President, the Senior Vice President and representatives from PAEA and REAP, resulted in a proposal to form a Joint Committee on Renewable Energy issues. The proposed committee would work with ICCI to identify sector challenges, coordinate stakeholder engagement and escalate priority matters to policymakers for timely resolution.
The ICCI President assured full support for policy advocacy, investor facilitation and outreach on behalf of the alternative energy sector. Participants emphasized that coordinated policy work and clearer investor pathways are essential to attract financing and scale Renewable Energy projects in both the public and private sectors.
Delegates agreed to strengthen cooperation and establish effective communication channels to pursue policy reforms and joint awareness programs. PAEA and REAP said they look forward to sustained collaboration with ICCI to create a more business-friendly regulatory environment and to promote clean energy and sustainable development in Pakistan.
