The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the start of Hajj refunds for pilgrims who performed Hajj in 2025, with bank disbursements to be completed by October 31. The ministry said approximately PKR 3.5 billion will be returned to eligible pilgrims following reconciliation of accommodation and Mina zone charges.
Officials emphasized that the current government remains committed to improving services for pilgrims under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The ministry credited close coordination with Saudi authorities, particularly Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Rabiah and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Al-Maliki, for helping keep costs under control and enhance facilities.
Last year the ministry introduced new comforts in Mina, including air-conditioned tents, folding mattresses and gypsum partition walls, and these improvements will remain in place for upcoming seasons. To provide step‑by‑step assistance, a Hajj Nazim scheme was launched that assigns one coordinator to groups of roughly 150 pilgrims, a service the ministry says will be strengthened further for Hajj 2026.
The government has allocated an additional quota of 30,000 places for the official Hajj scheme, and applications have already been filled. Pilgrims are reminded that the second installment for Hajj packages must be deposited with designated banks between November 3 and November 15; notifications will be sent through the Pak Hajj mobile app.
Package prices for the upcoming season have been set at PKR 1,150,000 for the 40‑day long Hajj package and PKR 1,200,000 for the 25‑day short package, with a required second installment of PKR 650,000. The ministry also reaffirmed mandatory comprehensive Hajj training nationwide to improve pilgrims’ knowledge of rites and administrative procedures.
As part of standard support, every pilgrim will receive a large trolley bag, a hand‑carry bag and women will receive a scarf. To facilitate communication, pilgrims will be issued a Saudi mobile SIM equipped with internet access and between 300 and 600 calling minutes to stay in touch with fellow pilgrims and families abroad.
The refund breakdown for 2025 pilgrims has been specified: 25% (21,895) will not receive a refund; 14% (12,286) will receive PKR 12,000 each; 16% (13,939) will receive PKR 25,000 each; 10% (8,496) will receive PKR 48,000 each; 23% (20,302) will receive PKR 75,000 each; 12% (10,945) will receive PKR 90,000 each; and 408 pilgrims will receive PKR 110,000 each. Payments will be made through bank branches or credited to bank accounts.
The ministry said these measures and refunds reflect sustained efforts to manage costs and deliver better services to Pakistani pilgrims, and it urged beneficiaries to monitor the Pak Hajj app for payment alerts and further instructions.
