On 27 October 2025 at Parliament House Islamabad, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq received Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai for a wide-ranging meeting on Balochistan security and development. The discussion focused on the current law and order situation in the province and ongoing efforts to advance development projects that benefit local communities.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the sacrifices of security forces for maintaining peace in Balochistan and emphasised that the Pakistan Army continues to play a key role in achieving stability. He underlined that Indian-supported terrorists would not be allowed to succeed in their aims and reaffirmed the federal commitment to support provincial efforts for peace and progress.
Abdul Khaliq Achakzai stressed that restoring and sustaining peace in Balochistan is essential for public welfare and economic resilience. He welcomed the cooperation of federal institutions and acknowledged the ongoing contributions of the armed forces and other security agencies in securing the province.
The two speakers also discussed concrete steps to bring Balochistan on par with other provinces in terms of development, with an emphasis on accelerating infrastructure, housing and communications projects. The meeting recognised that the sacrifices made for security must translate into lasting stability and socio-economic improvement for local populations.
Provincial Minister for Communications, Works and Housing Saleem Ahmed Khosa attended the meeting and contributed to discussions on transport and construction priorities. Parliamentary affairs were also reviewed as part of the dialogue between the federal and provincial legislative leadership.
The exchange at Parliament House reiterated the shared commitment to Balochistan security and development, highlighting federal-provincial coordination and the role of security forces in creating the conditions needed for sustained growth and improved quality of life across the province.
