The Embassy of Sweden engaged with the Steering Group of the Swedish Business Council in Pakistan as the Steering Committee convened in Lahore for its quarterly meeting to review opportunities and challenges facing Swedish companies operating here.
Delegates discussed ways to enhance bilateral trade, explore new avenues of collaboration and address shared business interests. The meeting highlighted Sweden’s tradition of innovation alongside Pakistan’s growing market potential, underscoring the Council’s role in promoting mutually beneficial commercial ties.
Participants emphasised practical steps to support Swedish firms in Pakistan, seeking partnerships that leverage local strengths while addressing regulatory and operational challenges. The session reinforced the Council’s commitment to strengthening economic links between Sweden and Pakistan through sustained engagement and cooperation.
The gathering also served as a moment to celebrate the birthday of the Council’s Chairman and Sweden’s long-serving Honorary Consul in Lahore, Syed Hyder Ali, who was honoured by colleagues for his continued service to the Swedish-Pakistani business community.
