Consul General attends Gilgit Baltistan Cultural Fest in New York, marking Day of Accession and celebrating regional heritage while strengthening cultural ties.

The Consul General of Pakistan in New York attended as chief guest the Gilgit-Baltistan Cultural Fest and Day of Accession organised by the Soni Watan Organisation of Gilgit-Baltistan. The event drew a large number of community members and guests who came together to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and its historic accession to Pakistan.

Speeches and performances highlighted traditional music, dance and crafts that reflect the distinct identity of Gilgit Baltistan. Attendees praised the Soni Watan Organisation for bringing the community together in New York and for preserving cultural practices among the diaspora.

In his address the Consul General emphasised Gilgit Baltistan’s vital role in Pakistan’s unity and development and underscored the importance of promoting cultural diversity abroad. He reaffirmed the consulate’s support for community initiatives that strengthen ties between the region and national institutions.
