Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Istanbul on November 3, 2024 to participate in a meeting hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss recent developments in Gaza. The visit underscores Pakistan’s engagement with regional diplomatic efforts on the issue.

On arrival the DPM/FM was received by Director General MFA Protocol Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu and officials of the Pakistan Embassy, reflecting close coordination between Pakistani and Turkish diplomatic teams. Ishaq Dar Istanbul engagement began with protocol-level briefings ahead of the scheduled talks.

The meeting, convened by H.E. Hakan Fidan, will bring together counterparts to review the situation in Gaza and explore avenues for dialogue. Pakistani officials attending the session will represent Islamabad’s perspectives as discussions proceed.
