Sindh Punjab TEVTA Collaboration Strengthened

TEVTA collaboration deepens as a 15-member Sindh delegation visits Punjab TEVTA to share operational models and explore prison vocational training and international placements.

A fifteen-member delegation from the Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority visited the Punjab TEVTA Secretariat to discuss strategic cooperation and exchange best practices. The delegation was led by Mr. Junaid Buland Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh and Chairman of Sindh TEVTA, and included MD Sindh TEVTA Mr. Tarique Manzoor.

Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M) Retd., Chairman TEVTA Punjab, briefed the visitors on the Authorityโ€™s flagship projects and recent achievements across the province. The delegation received a detailed presentation of Punjab TEVTAโ€™s operational model from DG Aamir Aziz, highlighting institutional structures that support training delivery and industry linkages.

The Punjab leadership outlined progress under the Chief Ministerโ€™s Development Program with particular emphasis on the Construction, IT, Garments and Hospitality sectors. The chairman stressed that Punjab TEVTA is actively pursuing international employment opportunities for its trainees to align vocational training with market demand and the CMโ€™s vision for skills-led growth.

Mr. Junaid Buland Khan welcomed the exchange and said, โ€œWe should capitalize on each otherโ€™s operational experiences,โ€ noting Sindhโ€™s interest in adopting successful models. He specifically requested guidance on initiatives including vocational training courses being conducted in prisons, aiming to expand rehabilitation and employability programs in Sindh.

The meeting also included Punjab TEVTA officers such as COO Mr. Shahid Zaman Lak and Senior DG Mr. Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, along with other senior staff. Both sides agreed to deepen TEVTA collaboration through knowledge sharing, joint training initiatives and coordinated efforts to secure employment pathways for graduates, reinforcing skills development priorities within Pakistan.
