ICG Holds Investiture Ceremony for 2025 26

ICG investiture saw Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz Akbar administer the Student Council oath and review new learning facilities to boost student skills.

The investiture ceremony for the 2025–2026 academic year at Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2 brought together faculty, students and guests to formally induct the newly elected Student Council. Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Ms. Farah Naz Akbar attended as chief guest and was warmly welcomed by the principal, staff and students on arrival.

During the ICG investiture, Ms. Farah Naz Akbar administered the oath of office to the Student Council for 2025–26 and offered her congratulations to the council members. In her address she urged students to actively engage in both curricular and co-curricular activities, stressing that young people must play a central role in Pakistan’s development in line with Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of an educated, dynamic and progressive generation.

After the formal proceedings the chief guest toured the college campus and reviewed recent academic and infrastructural interventions aimed at improving the quality of education. The visit provided an opportunity to observe initiatives intended to strengthen teaching, learning and student welfare across departments.

Ms. Farah Naz Akbar also visited the state of the art podcast room, equipped with modern recording facilities and cultural learning resources designed to promote creativity, innovation and digital literacy among students. The facility underscores the college’s commitment to expanding practical learning spaces and preparing students for a digitally connected future.
