Rescue 1122 in Rawalpindi responded to 1,517 road traffic accidents in October 2025, with a total of 1,681 people affected. The emergency teams maintained their average response time and provided timely on-scene care and transportation for the injured across the district.

Of the victims, 15 lost their lives, 742 sustained serious injuries and 925 suffered minor wounds. The majority of those impacted were male, with 1,438 men and 243 women among the casualties, and most victims fell in the 11 to 40 years age range. Car and motorcycle riders accounted for the largest share of incidents.

Authorities attributed the accidents to speeding, negligence while driving, incorrect turning maneuvers, tyre bursts and other factors. Rescue 1122 officials emphasized that continued adherence to traffic laws and safer driving practices are essential to reduce the toll of Rawalpindi road accidents.

The rescue service reiterated its commitment to lowering road traffic incidents through rapid response and coordination with local stakeholders. Muhammad Usman Gujar, Media Coordinator for Rescue Rawalpindi, urged motorists and commuters to follow traffic rules and remain vigilant to protect lives on district roads.
