JSDF Anniversary Marked at Islamabad Reception

Ambassador Akamatsu hosted a reception in Islamabad to mark the JSDF anniversary with Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Colonel Abe Kazuo present.

Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. Akamatsu Shuichi hosted a reception on Thursday 30 October to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. The event in Islamabad marked the JSDF anniversary and provided a forum for diplomatic engagement on defence matters.

The chief guest at the reception was H.E. Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defense, whose presence underlined the significance Islamabad attaches to defence dialogue with Japan. Colonel Abe Kazuo, Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Japan, represented the Japan Self-Defense Forces at the gathering.

The occasion emphasised defence diplomacy as attendees observed the JSDF anniversary and reinforced channels of communication between the two countries. Hosting the reception in Islamabad highlighted ongoing diplomatic relations and the role of such events in strengthening mutual understanding between Japanese and Pakistani defence officials.
