Ambassador Meets Pakistani Abilympics Team in Moscow

Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi met Pakistan's Abilympics team in Moscow, praised their dedication and congratulated bronze medalist Ansari Zainul Abbidin.

H.E. Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, met today with the Pakistani delegation taking part in the Abilympics International Competitions for Professional Skills for Persons with Disabilities in Moscow. The Competition was organised by the Russian Ministry of Education in coordination with the Moscow City Government.

The Ambassador expressed deep appreciation for the commitment and enthusiasm shown by the Abilympics team and encouraged members to continue representing Pakistan with pride. He offered special congratulations to Mr. Ansari Zainul Abbidin, who secured the Third Prize in the sewing competition and was awarded the Bronze Medal.

During a frank exchange of views with delegation members, Ambassador Tirmizi reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to provide full assistance and support to the Abilympics team and other participants. The discussion highlighted practical steps the Embassy can take to assist Pakistanis competing abroad.

The Ambassador also pledged to convey the official support of the Government of Pakistan to relevant authorities to ensure and expand participation of Pakistanis with disabilities in international competitions like the Abilympics. He noted that such engagement strengthens Pakistan’s presence on global platforms and promotes greater inclusion at home.
