EPI teams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assess MR campaign readiness to secure training, cold chain, logistics and communication ahead of the immunization drive.

A meeting to assess MR campaign readiness brought together all District EPI Coordinators from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with representatives from the Provincial EPI Office and partner organisations. The session examined district-level preparations and sought to align operational plans ahead of the upcoming immunization activities.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Asghar Khan, Director EPI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who stressed the need for thorough microplanning and completion of training schedules. Attendees reviewed the status of vaccine and logistics management, cold chain preparedness and the accuracy of local data that will inform outreach and site allocation during the MR campaign.

Communication and social mobilization efforts were discussed to ensure clear messaging across communities, while monitoring and supervision plans were evaluated to support quality implementation. Inter-sectoral coordination was highlighted as critical to remove operational bottlenecks and to mobilise local resources where gaps remain.

Dr. Asghar Khan emphasised completing all preparatory activities within the prescribed timelines, maintaining data integrity and strengthening coordination among stakeholders. District teams were asked to prioritise corrective actions for identified weaknesses to ensure a high-quality MR campaign across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
