Islamabad, November 2025 — An online Memorandum of Understanding was signed to deepen Pakistan Uzbekistan trade when Mr. Mazhar Hussain Thathal, Chairman/CEO of Global Trade Expo Center Pakistan (GTEC), formalised an agreement with Mr. Farrukh Fazliyev, Chairman/CEO of the National Economic Association of Uzbekistan.
The MoU seeks to promote mutual trade exchanges, business cooperation and investment opportunities, with both sides committed to facilitating trade exhibitions, joint ventures and market access. The agreement places particular emphasis on sectors such as textiles, agriculture, construction and industrial development to stimulate Pakistan Uzbekistan trade.
During the signing ceremony Mr. Fazliyev extended a formal invitation for a visit to Uzbekistan, underscoring a shared intent to build long-term commercial ties and strengthen trade corridors that connect exporters and importers from both countries. Both organisations signalled readiness to support entrepreneurs and businesses pursuing cross‑border opportunities.
Mr. Mazhar Hussain Thathal said the partnership marks a new chapter of economic connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, paving the way for expanded B2B cooperation, industrial collaboration, and regional growth.
The MoU represents a practical step toward creating stronger economic bridges, encouraging companies in Pakistan and Uzbekistan to explore untapped potential and translate the Pakistan Uzbekistan trade agenda into concrete projects and increased bilateral commerce.
