The University of Child Health Sciences, Children’s Hospital organised its 19th Intensive Clinical Course in collaboration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, bringing together leading specialists to advance paediatric care through structured training.
The Inaugural Ceremony featured the President of CPSP, Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, as the Chief Guest. Leading experts in paediatric surgery and allied specialties attended the event to participate in the Intensive Clinical Course and engage in professional exchange.
The ceremony opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from Prof Dr Nabila Talat, Dean of the Faculty of Surgery and Allied Surgical Specialities, who greeted the Chief Guest and participants.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Masood Sadiq, thanked Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal for gracing the occasion and emphasised the importance of the Intensive Clinical Course in preparing doctors to deliver high quality patient care.
In his remarks the Chief Guest commended the Vice Chancellor and the Dean for organising regular training programmes. Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal highlighted the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan’s contributions to postgraduate medical education, underscoring efforts to maintain standards comparable to those in developed countries and updating participants on CPSP achievements since its founding in 1962.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to the Chief Guest followed by a group photograph, marking the formal start of the 19th Intensive Clinical Course and continued collaboration for enhancing paediatric surgical training.
