RWU Student Ambassadors trained by State Bank to advance Financial Inclusion, digital awareness and womens empowerment across campuses in FY 2025–26.

RWU Student Ambassadors participated in a Training of Trainers (TOT) session organized by the State Bank of Pakistan at BSC Rawalpindi under the Banking on Equality Student Ambassador Program (FY 2025–26). The training prepared student leaders to expand financial inclusion, raise digital awareness and support women’s empowerment across university campuses.

The session emphasized practical strategies for promoting Financial Inclusion, including effective peer-to-peer outreach, awareness of digital payment tools and guidance on accessing formal banking services. Trainers briefed ambassadors on tailoring messages for diverse student groups and running campus-level activities that encourage safe and informed use of financial services.

Participants from RWU received coaching on leadership skills and curriculum-ready content to deliver workshops, awareness drives and information sessions on campus. By equipping students as trainers, the initiative seeks to build a sustainable network that advances Financial Inclusion and digital literacy among young people in Rawalpindi and surrounding university communities.

The Banking on Equality program aims to strengthen links between the central bank and higher education institutions so that student ambassadors can play a direct role in promoting women’s empowerment, increasing access to banking and fostering responsible digital financial behaviour throughout the academic year FY 2025–26.
