At a recent session at the National Bank of Pakistan, Sabika Shah, Regional Head Sindh, unpacked the ethical responsibilities and the legal protections contained in the 2010 Act, stressing that respect is not just a value but a legal imperative for workplace safety.
Ms. Shah walked participants through the Act’s provisions and highlighted the role of leadership and staff in upholding workplace standards. She urged employees and management alike to integrate those protections into daily practice to prevent harassment and to reinforce workplace safety across all branches.
Rehmat Ali Hasnie, President and CEO of NBP, joined the session to reaffirm the bank’s commitment to fostering a dignified work environment and to supporting measures that ensure legal compliance and respectful conduct.
The exchange at NBP reflects a broader push within Pakistani institutions to translate legal protections into practical safeguards. By combining awareness, leadership engagement, and clear policies, the bank aims to strengthen workplace safety and protect the rights and dignity of its staff.
