Leaders and Veterans Pay Tribute to Dr Naveed

Leaders, veterans and media gathered in Islamabad to honor Dr Naveed, offering condolences and prayers while reflecting on his service and impact.

A large gathering at the residence of Sardar Mohammad Ilyas Khan, Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan and Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan in Islamabad brought together political leaders, military veterans, business figures and senior media personalities to mourn the passing of Dr Naveed and to offer condolences to the bereaved family.

Those who paid tribute included Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan, Lt. Gen. (R) Asif Ghafoor, Maj. Gen. (R) Abid Latif Khan and Maj. Gen. Sheriyar Pervaiz. Federal Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Admiral Hasham bin Siddique and former Mayor of Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem Khan were also in attendance, alongside industry leaders such as Sardar Tahir, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Awais Satti, President of the Small Chamber, several former ICCI presidents, and Dr. Arshad Qaimkhani, CEO of the Pakistan Health Program.

The gathering carried special emotional weight for the Ilyas Khan family. Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, who serves as the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Tourism, Dr. Sardar Rashid Ilyas Khan and their father Sardar Ilyas Khan, Chairman of the Centaurus Group, were observed receiving condolences as relatives and friends recalled Dr Naveed’s warmth, humility and professional achievements.

Senior journalists, media executives and trade leaders, including representatives of Anjuman-e-Tajran, attended to pay their respects, underlining Dr Naveed’s contributions to healthcare, business and civic life in Islamabad and beyond. Attendees offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed and for patience and strength for the grieving family.
