OIC Experts Begin Meeting to Draft New TYPOA

OIC TYPOA talks began in Jeddah as experts meet to draft the 2026-2035 Ten-Year Programme of Action; member states will shape strategic priorities.

A meeting of the Intergovernmental Experts Group of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-IGEG) convened on Monday 17 November 2025 at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The four-day session is tasked with continuing discussions on preparing a new OIC Ten-Year Programme of Action for 2026-2035. Delegates will focus on identifying strategic objectives and priority areas to be captured in the draft TYPOA document.

Participants are expected to work through technical and policy considerations as they refine proposals that will guide the OIC’s collective efforts over the next decade. The OIC TYPOA process is intended to translate broad goals into a cohesive plan of action for member states.
