Day 3 marked the culmination of an intensive Multi-Hazard Exercise designed to strengthen operational preparedness through advanced, scenario-based training tailored for high-pressure emergencies.
Sessions were conducted by experts from the National Disaster Management Authority with support from PDMA Balochistan, the Balochistan Civil Services Academy, academic contributors and a range of national and international partner organisations, while the World Food Programme continued its collaboration to facilitate the exercise.
Participants engaged in complex case studies, group simulations and coordinated response drills that emphasized multi-sectoral planning, rapid needs assessment and resource management, giving officers practical experience in responding under realistic stress and time constraints.
Final debriefings allowed officers to consolidate their three-day learning, critically assess response strategies adopted during the exercise and outline actionable improvements to procedures and field operations to enhance future resilience.
Glimpses from Day 3 highlighted improved coordination among institutions and reinforced the value of sustained partner engagement in building stronger, more responsive emergency management capacity across the region.
