Conflict Resolution workshop at PODA Nara Mughlan equipped staff with mediation and communication skills to reduce workplace disputes and improve teamwork.

On 15 November 2025 a one-day workshop on Conflict Resolution took place at the PODA Nara Mughlan office, arranged in partnership with Horizontal PARADIGM as the knowledge partner. The session was led by Ms. Hira Imam and Mr. Ahmad Hussain Badar, who guided participants through the nature of conflicts, psychological triggers that escalate tensions, and the importance of early intervention to prevent misunderstandings from becoming major disputes.

The facilitators introduced core principles such as active listening, empathy, respect for diverse opinions and a problem-solving mindset, connecting these ideas to everyday challenges in the workplace. They walked attendees through step-by-step conflict resolution models that emphasized identifying root causes, exploring multiple perspectives, creating mutually beneficial options and agreeing on practical, implementable solutions.

Practical techniques including non-violent communication, negotiation strategies and mediation approaches were demonstrated so staff could apply them directly in real-life situations. Interactive group exercises invited participants to analyse workplace scenarios, surface existing challenges and propose solutions; each group then presented their findings, which fostered collaborative thinking and collective learning across teams.

During an open discussion teachers, farm staff and Sui Dhaaga team members raised specific concerns about communication gaps, workload misunderstandings and interpersonal tensions that had affected daily operations. These contributions provided the facilitators and PODA leadership with clear insight into where targeted interventions and better coordination are needed to strengthen relationships between departments.

By the close of the workshop the PODA team committed to ending ongoing tensions and building a culture of mutual support, cooperation and respectful communication. Participants affirmed their intention to apply conflict resolution skills on the job to enhance trust, coordination and overall efficiency.

Certificates were distributed to all attendees in recognition of their engagement and commitment, marking a constructive step toward improving workplace dynamics. The training significantly enhanced the team’s capacity to identify, manage and resolve conflicts in a positive and professional manner, with practical tools ready for immediate use at PODA Nara Mughlan.
