The third day of the Battle-X Polo Cup at Lahore Garrison Polo Club produced two gripping contests at the Cavalry Polo Fields, with families and polo fans filling the stands. LGPC Secretary Major Babar Mehboob Awan (R) and other distinguished guests were in attendance as the tournament continued to deliver high-quality action.
In the opening game Master Paints/Sheikhoo outclassed Peshawar Polo Club 8–4. Raja Samiullah was the standout, scoring five goals while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed added three, giving Master Paints/Sheikhoo a commanding advantage throughout the match. For Peshawar Polo Club, Lt. Col. Faizan Tasadduq Bhutta converted two goals and Sub Israr Wali added one goal in a spirited effort.
The second match produced a nail-biting finish as SQ Seagold/Newage Cables edged SEAFA Logistics International 6–5½. Saqib Khan Khakwani led SQ Seagold with three crucial goals, while Ali Quli Khan, Adnan Jalil Azam and Shiraz Qureshi contributed one goal each. SEAFA’s Agha Musa Ali Khan was outstanding with four goals and his side benefited from a 1.5-goal handicap, but SQ Seagold held on for the narrow victory.
These results on day three reshaped the competition and set up intriguing ties as the Battle-X Polo Cup progresses at LGPC, keeping local supporters engaged in one of Lahore’s premier polo events.
