H.E. Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan, met with Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity, at the organisation’s headquarters in Doha on November 27, 2025 to discuss deeper cooperation on education and skills development.
The discussions centred on strengthening collaboration in school rehabilitation, teacher development and programmes that enhance youth employability. The Minister welcomed Qatar Charity’s sustained support to Pakistan, highlighting past assistance in emergency response, school infrastructure upgrades and poverty alleviation initiatives that have benefitted vulnerable communities across the country.
Mr. Al-Kuwari outlined Qatar Charity’s global interventions and detailed ongoing projects in Pakistan, emphasising opportunities to expand access to quality education while scaling vocational and technical training tailored to market needs. He also pointed to joint approaches in community development, social protection measures and climate resilient infrastructure, and invited comparison of innovative humanitarian and development models that Qatar Charity has implemented internationally.
Both delegations agreed to explore more structured mechanisms for future cooperation, including enhanced project-level coordination, information sharing and the possibility of public private partnerships focused on underserved districts of Pakistan. These arrangements aim to align resources and expertise for measurable, localised impact.
H.E. Ms. Qamar expressed gratitude for Qatar Charity’s continued commitment to Pakistan’s development priorities and reiterated the Government of Pakistan’s determination to collaborate on sustainable, community centred programmes that deliver long term educational and livelihood outcomes for young people.
