Master Paints/Sheikhoo booked their place in the Battle Axe Polo final after a 10–8 victory over SQC Gold/Newage Cables at the Lahore Garrison Polo Grounds on the fifth day of the 11th Battle Axe Polo Cup 2025, sponsored by TCL.
Raja Samiullah produced an outstanding attacking display, netting eight goals, while Mir Huzaifa Ahmed added two important strikes to seal the win. SQC Gold/Newage Cables fought hard with Saqib Khan Khakwani scoring six and contributions from Shiraz Qureshi and Ali Kuli Khan, but Master Paints/Sheikhoo held their nerve in the closing stages.
Earlier at the Cavalry Polo Field, FG/Din Polo advanced to the subsidiary final with a convincing 12–6 victory over Peshawar Polo Club. Hamza Mawaz Khan led the charge with seven goals, supported by Muhammad Ali Malik (three) and Manam Faisal (two), as FG/Din’s pace and finishing proved decisive.
A large and lively crowd, including families and polo followers, watched the competitive fixtures, with Club Secretary Major (R) Babar Mehboob Awan among those in attendance. The tournament now moves toward an exciting climax, with the main final to be contested between Master Paints/Skywell and Master Paints/Sheikhoo and the subsidiary final featuring FG/Din Polo and Indus Polo as teams vie for top honours in their categories. The Battle Axe Polo event continues to draw strong local interest and high-quality play.
