Islamabad, 2 December 2025 — The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council has completed final preparations for a nationwide Digital Inspector Training programme scheduled for 9 to 11 December 2025, part of a wider push to modernize accreditation for medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
The meeting at PMDC headquarters was chaired by the President and convened 12 Master Trainers to review the training framework, logistics and implementation strategy for the pilot. Participants focused on equipping inspectors to conduct inspections through fully digitalized processes, a central aim of the Digital Inspector Training initiative.
The three-day programme is designed to strengthen the competency and preparedness of master inspectors who will in turn train inspection teams responsible for evaluating institutional standards. Key agenda items included finalising the digital inspection workflow, assigning facilitators, selecting participating institutions and preparing essential materials such as the Inspector Guide and the digital platform to be used for inspections.
Attendees stressed the need to provide inspectors with updated digital tools and standardised methodologies so inspections are credible, efficient and evidence based. Emphasis on standardisation, compliance requirements, documentation protocols and assessment tools reflects a drive to ensure transparency and consistency across future inspections.
By completing these preparations, PMDC signals a firm commitment to modernising inspection practices and strengthening the accreditation system. Successful rollout of the Digital Inspector Training is expected to support improvement in the quality of medical and dental education and greater accountability of institutions throughout Pakistan.
