CPSP President Visits Lahore Regional Centre

CPSP President Prof Khalid Masood Gondal visited Lahore Regional Centre, observed FCPS oral maxillofacial exams and addressed trainees on AI, skills and research.

CPSP President Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal visited the Regional Centre Lahore today and observed the clinical examination for FCPS in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, meeting examiners who had traveled from all provinces to take part in the assessment.

He delivered a concise lecture to trainees attending CPSP workshops on introduction to computers, information technology and artificial intelligence, and also addressed participants in basic surgical skills and supervisory workshops focused on education planning, evaluation and assessment of competence.

During his interaction with trainees and supervisors he outlined recent national and international achievements of the College in academic and professional fields and praised the contributions of the College Council, supervisors, fellows and trainees in advancing academic excellence. Attendees commended the College leadership for its sustained efforts to elevate standards and welcomed the decision to make research publication a mandatory fellowship requirement, recognising its role in improving clinical research culture across Pakistan.

Participants also expressed appreciation for the College policy of involving international examiners in assessments, noting that this practice enhances credibility, aligns examinations with international standards and supports the development of a globally competitive medical workforce.
