Pakistan Praises Baku Creative Week Leadership

Pakistan hails Azerbaijans leadership at Baku Creative Week and pledges active participation in the OIC Cultural Festival to strengthen cultural diplomacy.

Baku, 9 December 2025 — Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, said Pakistan is proud of Azerbaijan’s leadership in hosting the landmark OIC Cultural Festival, Baku Creative Week 2025. He described the event as a powerful platform for cultural, creative and intellectual exchange across the Islamic world and praised Baku for emerging as an important meeting point for Muslim nations.

Speaking at the inauguration, Khichi emphasised that Pakistan, as a brotherly country, values Azerbaijan’s efforts in promoting cultural diplomacy and commended its contributions at both regional and global levels. He said Pakistan is always ready to actively participate in initiatives that strengthen Islamic solidarity and promote shared cultural values, noting the central role of Baku Creative Week in fostering those ties.

Khichi added, ‘We see this platform not merely as a festival, but as a significant opportunity for cultural rapprochement, creative exchange, and strategic cooperation within the Islamic world.’ He highlighted that shared history, cultural roots and religious unity bind Islamic nations in genuine partnership and expressed Pakistan’s commitment to support cooperation at all levels.

The minister expressed confidence that Azerbaijan’s ongoing cultural initiatives will continue to reinforce the cultural identity of the Islamic world and deepen cooperation among member states, and he called on fellow Islamic nations to use forums such as the OIC Cultural Festival to build stronger cultural and creative links.
