The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) will host the From Paris to Belem ten years after Paris agreement: The road travelled and the journey ahead Post-COP30 Dialogue on December 11, 2025 at 1100 hrs in the ISSI Library, Sector F-5/2, Islamabad. The event will review international and national climate milestones since the Paris Agreement and chart priorities for Pakistan ahead of regional and global negotiations.
The programme will feature H.E. Mr. Nicolas GALEY, Ambassador of France to Pakistan, as Guest of Honor, and Ms. Aisha Humera Moriani, Secretary of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (MoCC&EC), delivering the keynote address. Special remarks will be offered by Amb. Nabeel Munir, Additional Secretary (UN) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while Ms. Aisha Khan, Chief Executive of the CSCCC, will also present remarks reflecting on institutional responses to climate challenges.
Panel discussion will include perspectives from Dr. Abid Suleri, Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Ms. Nadia Rehman from the Planning Commission of Pakistan focusing on food security and climate change, and Mr. Hiz Jamali, Senior Climate Change Officer at the Asian Development Bank. Speakers will assess the road travelled from Paris to Belem, consider implications for Pakistan’s adaptation and mitigation strategies, and explore collaborative pathways for implementation.
