The inauguration was led by Member of the National Assembly Malik Abrar Ahmed and Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak, with Horticulture Agency MD Ahmed Hassan Ranjha and other officials present. The opening ceremony included a tour of the various stalls where visitors admired the wide range of chrysanthemum varieties and floral arrangements.

Stalls from institutions such as CMH and AFIP, alongside the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, have added colour and variety to the event. Students from Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi contributed by creating artistic models and themed displays that complemented the flower exhibits and communicated social messages through design.

The Chrysanthemum exhibition highlights the unique character of these autumn flowers and aims to bring a message of beauty and peace to the community. Organisers emphasised that such events provide meaningful recreational opportunities for the public and invite citizens to visit and appreciate the seasonal blooms.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha noted that the display demonstrates how flowers continue to bloom and spread colour even in the cooler months, and he urged the people of Rawalpindi to attend and enjoy the floral arrangements. The exhibition features many chrysanthemum types that present striking visual scenes across the park.

With large public turnout and participation from different sectors, the exhibition has transformed Allama Iqbal Park into a lively floral showcase. Visitors are encouraged to experience the Chrysanthemum exhibition in person before it concludes on 17 December 2025.
