The District Health Officer Islamabad, accompanied by the District Population Welfare Officer, the Administrative Officer and the Additional District Population Welfare Officer, conducted field visits to health facilities across the district to monitor service delivery indicators and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
During the visits, the team evaluated patient flow, availability of essential supplies, record keeping and staff deployment, using key service delivery indicators to measure performance. The inspections aimed to identify gaps that could affect quality of care at the primary level.
Officials stressed the importance of strict SOP compliance and urged facility teams to implement corrective actions where needed. Strengthening oversight and routine monitoring are intended to enhance accountability and the overall standard of primary healthcare in Islamabad.
The coordinated effort between health and population welfare officials also focused on improving referral links and community outreach so that residents receive timely and consistent primary healthcare services across the district.
