Urs Jhelum ceremony commemorated Major Nawab Khan Janjua and family with Quran recitation and naats, organized by Raja Sarfaraz Akram and local leaders.

The Urs ceremony in Jhelum Cantt brought relatives, devotees and community leaders together to mark the anniversary of Major Nawab Khan Janjua, his mother and Tariq Mehmood Janjua who was martyred. The event took place at Gul Afshan Colony and was organized by Raja Sarfaraz Akram, custodian of the Darbar of Bari Imam and the Kalu Baba Manser camp.

Sahibzada Rizwan Khalid conducted the proceedings and the gathering began with a moving recitation of the Quran by Qari Khurram Shehzad. The program featured prominent naatkhwans whose renditions uplifted the assembly, including Qari Ali Usman Hujwiri, Qari Muhammad Shehzad, Mehr Muhammad Akram, Khalid Bhatti, Khalid Mahmood Qadri, Abdul Razaq Jami, Shehzada Saif ul Mulook Sheikh, Wasim Abbas of Bary Imam House and Haji Shehzad Hanif Madani from Lahore.

Local dignitaries and members of the Janjua family attended in large numbers. Notable guests included former National Assembly member Rana Nazir Ahmed, Raja Sarfaraz Akram, Member Land Raja Imtiaz Janjua, Dr. Riaz Janjua, Brigadier Raja Asif Janjua, Hafiz Raja Ejaz Janjua, Raja Shehzad and Raja Faiq Wasim, alongside other political and social figures who paid their respects.

The Urs Jhelum gathering concluded with prayers and a collective dua for the souls of the departed, including Major Nawab Khan Janjua Khilafa Mujaz Hakim Khadim Ali Khadim of Sialkot, Tariq Mehmood Janjua (shaheed) and Raja Muhammad Akram (shaheed). Attendees prayed for the continued wellbeing of the nation and eisaal-e-sawab for the departed.
