Ayzaz ur Rehman clinched the Pak-China Friendship Ten Pin Bowling Championship in Islamabad, finishing the final with a top score of 217 points. Afzal Akhtar took second place with 186 points while Daniyal Ejaz secured third position on 172 points. Haroon and Muhammad Hussain Chhatta rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth positions respectively.
The opening ceremony drew a distinguished local and diplomatic turnout, including Mustafa Hassan, Minister and Head of Mission of the Nigerian Embassy, and Mr. Chen Peng, Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy. Shahid Islam, Deputy Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board, attended alongside the federation patron Muhammad Amjad Hassan Qureshi, federation president Ejaz ur Rehman, General Secretary Colonel (R) Kamran Khalid Janjua, and Altaf Hussain. Ejaz ur Rehman, who also chaired the Organizing Committee, presented the official championship report to mark the start of the competition.
The Pak-China Friendship Ten Pin Bowling Championship opened with a colourful ceremony featuring performances by artists and singers and continued at Laser City Bowling Club in Safa Gold Mall, F-7 Markaz, Islamabad. The event features 20 players from Pakistan and 20 from China competing across categories, and women’s competitions are also underway as part of the programme. Ayzaz ur Rehman’s win highlights Pakistan’s strong showing in the bilateral sporting exchange and adds local momentum to the growing profile of ten pin bowling in the capital.
