Under the special instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi has completed a focused beautification effort at Millia Park, installing colourful electric lights that reshape the park’s nighttime appearance. The new lighting design brings attractive views and a refreshed public space for families and visitors in Rawalpindi.
MD Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha supervised the project and said the work reflects the Punjab government’s vision to enhance urban green areas. The multicoloured lights and thoughtful placement of fixtures have been chosen to highlight pathways, trees and gathering areas while creating a welcoming evening atmosphere throughout Millia Park.
Local residents responded positively to the improvements, saying the Millia Park lighting has heightened the city’s aesthetic and left a deep impression on visitors. Many praised the timely execution and noted that the transformation makes the park an appealing destination after dark, contributing to community life and safer public spaces.
The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi plans more initiatives to continue the beautification of Rawalpindi under the provincial vision. Future projects will build on the lighting work at Millia Park to expand recreational and visual improvements across the city.
