Ambassador Tirmizi discussed Pakistan Russia ties and Eurasian connectivity at HSE Moscow, urging academic exchange to deepen bilateral understanding.

H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi delivered a lecture at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, addressing the evolving nature of Pakistan Russia ties and the broader strategic landscape of Eurasian connectivity.

The session, titled Eurasian Connectivity and Emerging Pakistan-Russia Relations, examined a wide range of bilateral issues and Pakistan’s geo-strategic role in the Eurasian space. Attended by undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as academic staff, the lecture placed Pakistan Russia ties within the context of regional economic and political linkages.

Ambassador Tirmizi stressed the pivotal role of academic exchange in building long-term understanding between nations. He noted that direct engagement with students and scholars offers a platform for future diplomats and economists to grasp the current state of regional geopolitics and contributes to stronger Pakistan Russia ties over time.

The lecture concluded with an extended question and answer session in which HSE students probed topics ranging from transport connectivity and potential transport links to collaborative efforts in counter-terrorism and regional security.
