Rising Pakistan Movement reaffirms Kashmir Solidarity in Islamabad, urging inclusion of Kashmiri voices and guidance for youth during this critical phase.

A thoughtful session at the Rising Pakistan Movement central office in Gulberg Green marked Kashmir Solidarity Day as party leaders and civil society representatives gathered to discuss the unfolding situation in Kashmir.

Rakhshanda Tasneem, deputy chief organizer, Saima A. Bhatti, secretary information, and member Hasna Khattak joined Kashmiri leader Muhammad Bashir Raja and a large number of civil society figures for the forum. Speakers said the struggle of the Kashmiri people since the creation of Pakistan has entered a delicate and decisive phase that appears closer to success.

Participants emphasized that Rising Pakistan stands with the people of Kashmir from the very first step and called for careful guidance of Kashmir’s youth. They stressed it is essential to acknowledge the feelings and uncertainties facing young Kashmiris and to provide direction that respects their aspirations and emotional state.

Speakers urged that all decisions about Kashmir must take Kashmiri voices into account. Muhammad Bashir Raja warned that the Kashmir issue cannot be resolved unless Kashmiris themselves are included in every decision that affects their future. He called on the United Nations and international peacemakers to recognize that the right to self-determination is the true guarantor of lasting peace, rather than support for a dominant external power.

As a gesture of solidarity and respect, the Rising Pakistan Movement and civil society participants observed two minutes of silence to honor the courage of the Kashmiri people. The gathering reaffirmed commitment to stand with Kashmiris and to work toward inclusive, people-centered solutions.
