The Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires commemorated Kashmir Solidarity Day on 05 Feb 2026, drawing members of the local community and the Pakistani diaspora to a event that underscored continuing concerns over human rights in the region.
Messages from the President, the Prime Minister, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read during the gathering, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri people and their legitimate aspirations.
In his keynote address, Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan highlighted grave human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), especially after the illegal revocation of the region’s special status in August 2019. A photo exhibition displayed at the event further illustrated the plight of innocent Kashmiris and reinforced calls for international attention and remedies.
The embassy’s observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day aimed to keep the issue visible in Argentina and to strengthen ties with the diaspora, while reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination through sustained political and diplomatic engagement.
