The Embassy of the Netherlands extended a warm welcome to Human Rights Ambassador Wim Geerts as he began his visit to Lahore, convening important meetings on the first day. Local state actors and civil society leaders took part in discussions aimed at strengthening human rights dialogue and cooperation.

Day one included engagement with representatives from government bodies and a diverse range of civil society voices, culminating in participation at the Asma Jahangir Conference. The programme in Lahore emphasized open, solution-focused exchanges on key human rights concerns relevant to Pakistan and the bilateral agenda with the Netherlands.
