Abhi MFB and 1LINK launch Raast P2M enabling merchants to accept instant QR payments and boost digital inclusion.

Abhi Microfinance Bank Ltd has partnered with 1LINK to introduce 1GO Raast Person-to-Merchant services, enabling merchants across Pakistan to accept instant digital payments via Raast using QR technology. The Raast P2M rollout aims to simplify payment acceptance for everyday businesses and enhance interoperability across mobile banking apps and wallets.

The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony where Mariam Pervaiz, Chief Commercial Officer of Abhi Microfinance Bank, and Najeeb Agrawalla, Chief Executive Officer of 1LINK, signed on behalf of their organisations. The event was also attended by Kabeer Naqvi, Entrepreneur in Residence at Abhi Fintech, alongside senior representatives from both institutions.

Under the partnership, Abhi MFB will integrate 1LINK’s 1GO Raast P2M static QR solution into its merchant ecosystem, allowing shopkeepers, small businesses and service providers to receive payments directly into their bank accounts without costly hardware or complex setups. Customers will be able to complete transactions instantly using Raast-supported mobile apps and wallets, making the Raast P2M experience straightforward and widely accessible.

The initiative targets key barriers faced by small merchants by reducing cash handling, improving transaction record keeping and enhancing cash flow visibility. Faster settlement of funds and clear transaction trails provided by Raast P2M are expected to help merchants build stronger financial profiles over time, supporting greater access to formal financial services.

For the broader payments landscape in Pakistan, the collaboration supports the expansion of Raast-based merchant payments and the country’s ongoing move toward digital transactions. By combining Abhi MFB’s merchant enablement focus with 1LINK’s national payment infrastructure, the partnership aims to extend Raast P2M reach into both urban and semi-urban markets and encourage wider adoption of digital payments.

Representatives from both organisations said that enabling accessible digital payment tools for merchants is a practical step toward improving commercial efficiency and strengthening trust in formal financial systems. With this rollout, Abhi MFB continues to broaden its merchant-focused digital services while 1LINK further extends the reach of Raast-powered solutions within Pakistan’s payments ecosystem.
