Punjab Boards Adopt e-marking for Computer Science

IBCC advances e-marking for Computer Science in Punjab, focusing on technical readiness, coordination and faster, transparent result processing.

The Inter Boards Coordination Commission organized a meeting of Controllers of Examinations and IT officials from all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across Punjab to discuss the Government of Punjab initiative to introduce e-marking for Computer Science examinations.

The initiative aims to enhance transparency, accuracy and efficiency while ensuring timely result processing through a digital assessment system. Participants reviewed operational plans and technical requirements to align board infrastructure and workflows for e-marking deployment.

The meeting was chaired by Director General IBCC Muhammad Usman Khan alongside Dr. Bashir Khan, Director IT at the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad. Discussions emphasized inter-board coordination, data security measures and the phased approach needed for smooth implementation of the e-marking system.

The session concluded with remarks by Executive Director IBCC Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, who underlined the importance of digital readiness and greater technology integration across all boards. IBCC reaffirmed its commitment to support modernization, standardization and technological advancement as key steps toward reliable and transparent examination processes through e-marking.
