Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Chairperson of the Higher Education Commission, has accepted patronage as Patron-in-Chief and formally launched the Convention at a cake-cutting event held at the Islamabad Club, attended by ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, Vice Chancellors, industrialists and senior academic figures. His backing underscores the event’s national significance and its role in strengthening educational collaboration.

Organisers expect participation from more than 150 universities and institutions with a projected footfall exceeding 15,000 students. ISCE 2026 will feature student competitions, innovation-focused project exhibitions and industrial stalls alongside career guidance sessions, academic and research presentations, cultural programs and a variety of sports contests aimed at nurturing young talent and promoting practical learning opportunities.

A prominent feature will be the Lyallpur Industrial Pavilion, complemented by dedicated Education, Tourism and Diplomatic Pavilions to deepen academia-industry and international linkages. Student competitions and specialised workshops will take place at Quaid-i-Azam University, while other higher education and research institutions across Islamabad and Rawalpindi will host parallel seminars, panel discussions and thematic sessions.

Extending the Convention’s international reach, an International Handball Referees Training and Certification Course will be held from May 5 to 15, 2026, followed by an International Handball Tournament from May 17 to 22, 2026 at Government College University Faisalabad, featuring national and international teams. These sporting activities aim to bolster Pakistan’s sporting ties and offer additional avenues for student exchange and international cooperation.

By bringing together academia, industry and diplomacy, ISCE 2026 aims to be a comprehensive platform for creativity, leadership and collaboration that advances educational harmony and empowers the next generation of leaders at both national and international levels.
