CPSP delegation meets National Assembly Speaker

CPSP delegation briefed Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on the college's national and international contributions and post IMECon 2026 feedback.

A delegation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan met the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, to outline recent institutional achievements and international engagement. The CPSP delegation shared updates on the college’s national and international contributions and discussed follow-up actions from the International Medical Education Conference 2026.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, President CPSP, led the delegation accompanied by Prof. Muhammad Shoaib Shafi, Senior Vice President; Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, DGNRP; Prof. Aamer Zaman Khan, DGME; and Maj Gen Prof. Mazher Ishaq, Director International Relations. The team briefed the Speaker on CPSP initiatives aimed at strengthening medical education and postgraduate training across Pakistan.

The President highlighted feedback gathered from presidents of royal colleges around the world who attended IMECon 2026 and sought continued support for collaborative initiatives. The delegation emphasised how international partnerships and peer feedback are helping CPSP align its training standards with global best practices.

The Honourable Speaker expressed appreciation for CPSP’s role in advancing medical education and professional standards. As a gesture of institutional briefings, CPSP presented a history book and the college’s annual performance report to the Speaker during the meeting.
